Who owns this site
REMEDIESHEALTHFITNESS (remedieshealthfitness.com) is independently owned and operated by the small team of editors who run it. There is no parent media group, no investor with a board seat, no supplement company or fitness brand behind the curtain, and no silent partner whose products we exist to sell. The people who decide what gets published are the same people who own the consequences of publishing it, and we regard that as the single most important structural fact about this site. This page exists so you never have to wonder who is paying for the words.
How the site makes money
Running a publication costs money: hosting, tools, licensing and, above all, editors’ time. Our revenue comes from two sources, and both are the kind you can see:
- Display advertising. The ads on our pages are served through standard advertising networks. Advertisers buy space, not sentences: they do not choose, see or influence editorial content, and the desk does not know or care which advertiser appears beside which article. Ads are visually distinct from editorial content, and how ad networks use cookies is described in our Cookie Policy.
- Affiliate links. Some articles link to products, and if you buy through such a link we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Every article containing affiliate links discloses it on the page, not buried in a footer. The editorial rule is absolute and worth stating twice: the article’s verdict is written first, from the evidence, and linking comes after. A product that the evidence does not support does not become recommendable because it has an affiliate program, and a commission has never changed a conclusion here.
What we do not take
Health media has a specific corruption problem: the supplement and wellness industry pays well for coverage that looks like journalism. So the refusals matter more than the revenue lines:
- No supplement sponsorships dictating coverage. No supplement, remedy or wellness brand sponsors our editorial coverage, has ever been promised favourable treatment, or gets to know what we are writing before you do.
- No pay-for-praise. We do not sell positive reviews, “best of” placements or favourable mentions. If any list on this site ranks products, the ranking is editorial and the criteria are in the article.
- No undisclosed sponsored content. If sponsored content ever appears, it is labelled as sponsored, unmissably, and is held to the same accuracy bar as everything else. Content that pretends to be independent while being paid for is the one thing we consider disqualifying for a health site.
- No free products in exchange for coverage. Free samples, trips and gifts in return for articles are declined. What we test, we obtain like a reader would.
The firewall in practice
The separation between money and editorial is procedural, not aspirational. Advertising partners and affiliate programs are managed separately from editorial planning. No advertiser or affiliate partner reviews, approves or previews articles. Editors’ pay does not depend on the commercial performance of their own articles, which removes the private incentive to shade a verdict. And when a conflict is even possible, such as an article about a product category we earn affiliate revenue from, the relationship is disclosed on that page so you can weigh our words with full information.
If this ever changes
If the ownership of this site changes, or a new funding source appears that a reasonable reader would want to know about, this page will say so plainly and promptly. A trust page that quietly goes stale is worse than none.
