Where we stand on copyright
REMEDIESHEALTHFITNESS produces original work: our articles are written by our editors, our research summaries are our own words about published science, and the images we use are our own, licensed, or clearly permitted for the use. We hold ourselves to that standard because we expect others to respect our work in return, and this page explains both directions: what to do if you believe we have infringed your rights, and what we do about people who misuse ours.
How we source content
- Text. Articles are written in-house. When we quote a study, a public health announcement or another publication, we quote briefly, mark it clearly, and link to the source. Summarising published research in our own words, with citation, is the core of what a research desk does, and we always cite.
- Images. Images come from our own production, licensed stock, official handouts published for press use, or material under licences that permit our use, with attribution where the licence requires it. We do not lift images from other health sites or social media accounts.
- Data and studies. Facts and findings are not copyrightable, and we report them freely with citation. The expression of them in our articles is ours.
If you believe we have infringed your copyright
Send a notice to support@remedieshealthfitness.com with DMCA in the subject line. To let us act quickly, include the elements of a standard notification under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act or its equivalent where you are:
- Identification of the copyrighted work you say has been infringed, or a representative list if there are several.
- The exact URL on remedieshealthfitness.com where the allegedly infringing material appears. A URL, not a description; we cannot act on “one of your articles”.
- Your name, and contact information we can actually reach you at: email at minimum.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act for the owner.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
Complete notices get acted on promptly: we review the material, and if the claim holds we remove or replace it and note the change on the article where that is meaningful. Incomplete notices get a reply telling you what is missing. Knowingly false claims of infringement can carry legal liability for the sender, so please be sure of your claim before you sign it.
Counter-notices
If material you posted or supplied is removed following a notice and you believe the removal was mistaken, you may send a counter-notice to the same address containing your contact details, identification of the removed material and its former location, a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the removal was a mistake or misidentification, consent to the jurisdiction of the competent courts where the operator is established, and your signature. We will forward valid counter-notices to the original complainant and may restore the material as the law provides.
Fair quotation of our work
We are not aggressive about ordinary use. Quoting a passage of our work with attribution and a link, sharing our articles on social platforms, or citing our reporting is welcome and needs no permission. What is not welcome: republishing whole articles, scraping the site to rebuild it elsewhere, stripping our name off our work, or using our content to market a product as if we had endorsed it. For any commercial licensing or syndication, write to support@remedieshealthfitness.com and ask; we are easy to reach and reasonable to deal with.
Repeat infringers
Where any part of the site accepts material from third parties, we terminate the access of repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances. In practice, as an editorial site with content produced by our own desk, infringement questions almost always concern our published articles, and those are governed by the process above.
